Accommodations
Homestay
Homestay is a special housing service that strives to match international students with a host or host family. Students have an opportunity to enjoy cultural, social, and recreational activities that are as varied as their hosts, with the benefit of living in a supportive environment. Hosts vary from young families with children and pets, to couples with older children who no longer live at home, to single individuals. All hosts share an interest in helping students adjust to and learn about our way of life in Toronto, Canada. Each potential host family is carefully screened by the College and then matched with students.
Independent Housing
Students can choose to live on their own by renting a room in a house or an apartment. Students can rent a room in a house and experience living with other students. Each room will be fully furnished with a bed, closet, desk, etc. and the house will have bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, living room and dining room.
Alternatively, students can rent an apartment in a multi-storied modern apartment building. All apartments come fully furnished and equipped with all appliances such as stove, washer and dryer. The buildings are modern and luxurious, with facilities such as a pool, gym and/or recreation room.
All our housing options are conveniently located, with all the necessary amenities nearby such as supermarkets, stores, banks, post office, laundry services, etc. All accommodations are close to the college or within walking distance to public transportation. Depending on each student’s needs, our Student Counsellors will assist you in finding your home away from home.
Career counselling
Coming to a new country, away from friends and family, is a huge change for international students. Living in a society that is very different from one’s own culture and language as well as educational system is doubly challenging. We understand that our students may encounter difficulties which can interfere with their well-being and academic goals. It is our goal to provide international students with the best possible learning experience in an environment conducive to individual success. Our understanding team can provide a private and safe environment to allow our students to address any challenges they wish to discuss.
Workshops
At Pures, we strive to ensure our students have the best tools to be successful while they are studying with us and after they graduate. For international students, we recognize that understanding the Canadian educational system and job search strategies is essential for them to succeed in Canada. We have developed workshops that address our students’ needs and equip them with the knowledge and tools to be successful. Our workshops run periodically and are open to all our students.
