Medical Insurance Information for New Students


In order for you to receive your medical insurance information, please make sure to submit the following documents to the college <registration@purescollege.ca> as soon as you land in Canada.

You will not be qualified to enroll for medical insurance if you are not physically present in Canada.

    • Study Permit (photocopy)
    • Update your information on the SIMS portal
    • Completed Travel Plan Form

 

Please wait patiently for your insurance information to be emailed to your college email address. This may take up to 2~3 weeks from the day you submitted the appropriate documents to the college, if you submitted your documents within one (1) month of the start date of the semester. If you submitted your documents after the one-month cut-off period, then it may take longer to process your insurance enrollment, which is on a case-by-case basis.

 

Please note your insurance coverage will start on the Program Start Date stated on your Letter of Acceptance if you land in Canada on or before that day, or it will start from whenever you land in Canada, whichever occurs later.

Your insurance is only valid for ONE SEMESTER at a time. Your current insurance coverage end date is the last calendar day of the month when your current registered semester ends. Your insurance will be extended when your next semester starts. If you have paid for your tuition in full and your registration for the following semester is confirmed, then your medical insurance will be extended when your next semester starts.

Your insurance coverage start date and end date will not change regardless of when you receive your insurance policy information in the email (if you qualify).

If you need to see a doctor in Canada before you receive your insurance policy in the college email, please retain all the receipts to claim for reimbursement through the Guard.me portal at a later date.
