Remdemeir Cueto

I’m Remdemeir Cueto, originally from the Philippines and raised in Uganda. My journey to study in Canada came from my deep desire to live in this beautiful country. Choosing Pures College of Technology was guided by my educational consultant, who highly recommended it as a top-notch institution for Nursing and Healthcare Management in Canada. Through my research, I unearthed several additional advantages, such as its certification as a Designated Learning Institute and excellent accessibility for transportation.

Upon arriving for my first week, I was filled with excitement. Building a rapport with my instructors became my focus, and I soon grew to hold them in high esteem. My educational journey commenced immediately, and over the course of my program, I not only gained success in my courses but also learned invaluable skills, particularly in becoming an effective leader. Our instructors were always focused on their commitment to prepare us for the Canadian workforce. Aside from our course program, their soft skills teaching included technical aspects like setting up our computers before class to cultivating professionalism in both behavior and appearance. We received training in both the technical and soft skills necessary for success.

Throughout my time at Pures, the instructors were the highlight. They have a wealth of knowledge and maintained the utmost professionalism. Approachable and supportive, they were readily available to offer guidance and advice whenever needed. Navigating through my program was made easier by the responsive and helpful Pures Student Services team, who helped with many of my various inquiries.

The course programs were comprehensive and thoughtfully structured. However, it was the instructors who truly transformed my perspective on life. I am particularly grateful to Dr. Victor Lagman, Dr. Maria Padua, and Dr. Vivo Chua, who imparted invaluable life lessons and emphasized the importance of being a competent leader and professional. Their mentorship, patience, and expertise will forever stay with me.

Pures College introduced me to numerous career agencies, and I am currently delighted to be working as a Personal Support Worker. Recently, my education and leadership skills were recognized, resulting in a potential opportunity to win a supervisory coordinator role upon completing my course. I am very excited!

Reflecting on my experiences at Pures, I can say that they have been very positive. A lot of the credit goes to the instructors who impacted me, their positive attitudes, extensive experience, and deep knowledge motivated me to not only excel in the healthcare field but also strive to become a capable leader and a better person.

I would certainly recommend the Pures College of Technology experience to all those students looking to learn in Canada. It has been a personally rewarding journey, and I am immensely grateful for the knowledge and skills I have acquired during my time here.
