Hi, my name is Tikku and I am a 2023 graduate of the Information Systems Business Analysis (ISBA) and the International Business Management (IBM) program from Northern College, delivered through Pures College of Technology in Toronto.
Coming from India, having worked for 7 years in the Information Technology business I was seeking a top college where I could expand my knowledge and expertise in a combined IT and International Business program that would provide me a solid career opportunity in Canada.
Stepping back into an academic environment was challenged due to the restrictions of COVID. Even so, as my first semester was online, I was still very excited to be in Canada, realizing my educational and professional goals while meeting some great new friends. Speaking of which, the overall enthusiasm of my classmates was exhilarating. We shared our goals and dreams, bonding through our excitement to be in Canada while working together on our programs.
The faculty were very supportive and helpful, guiding and enabling us through their curriculums and lectures even though for the first part they were all online. They were open and responsive to our questions and concerns, providing us the do’s and don’ts to make us comfortable and more engaged.
I recall with thanks and appreciation, the constructive and thoughtful feedback we received from our peers, professors, and lecturers of our many business presentations. I learned a great deal about working as a team to collaborate and brainstorm to improve our mock business presentations and calls.
Now with the achievement of my graduation, I am excited to move forward with my plans to enter a company in an intermediate or mid-level management role where I will use the knowledge and experienced gained through my programs.
My overall experience was good, and I would certainly recommend attending Pures for all those who are committed to a journey of expert education, personal and professional growth.
I am excited about my future. Enriched by the addition of my Pures Diploma and my growing network of friends and colleagues in Canada, I am ready for this next chapter of my life as an ISBA and business management professional working in Canada.
